A City Lost & Found

"Old landmarks fall in nearly every block ... and the face of the city is changing so rapidly that the time is not too far distant when a search for a building 50 years old will be in vain. - Hearld, 1925"

Since im lamely into Melbourne's Historical Buildings, i bought a book (First time in ages..): A City lost and found: Whelan the Wrecker's Melbourne. Its mainly about a demolition firm that reduced many beautiful masterpieces into rubble.

Sorta like how random our city is, every now and then you see a nice gothic-revolutionary style building and then you see this ugly cube next to it.. zzz...

Ill show you what i mean..
The APA Building (aka. Australian Building), It joined the skyline race against the world and became the third worlds tallest high-rise in 1889.

It was replaced in 1980 with this.

You choose which one looks better xD
